Paul Krugman in the NYT[2.1](emphasis ours) and Dean Baker and Mark Weisbrot of the Center for Economic and Policy Research[2.2], are only two of the many excellent sources. And of course, Vic Perlo exposed the whole fraud a decade ago when the libertarian right dreamed up the idea of a social security crisis.
