Madness Reigns ...

We spotted this puerile bumper sticker on the road last weekend.

It was paired with "Support the Troops: Bring Them Home".

Notice the first character in "Coexist", the crescent that represents Islam.

It seems to us that the other religions represented -- we consider Darwinism a religion -- are perfectly content to co-exist. No beheadings or suicide bombings are being committed in the name of Gaia, Abraham or Jesus.

Sadly, we can't say the same for those faithful to Mohammed.

Old School Woody Allen couldn't have written something so hilarious.

These kooks are now engaging in self-parody.

This is what passes for "thought" on the Looney Left.

This would all be very amusing if it were not reflected in the actions of the majority in Congress.

As the surge starts to show results, Senator Reid exclaims that the war is lost and basically calls General Petraeus a liar.

All class, that Harry.

The majority party passes a surrender bill.

And the evil enemy laughs as the Disloyal Opposition continues to do its bidding to chip away at America's will to win, all in hopes of a sweep in '08.

A cynic would saddle these domestic enemies with partial blame for each death of an Iraqi citizen or a Coalition soldier.

We are not yet at that point, not yet ready to exculpate the savages for full blame for their nefarious actions.

But we are getting there.

Petraeus: Interrogations Reveal Iranian Influence in Iraq

By Sgt. Sara Wood, USA
American Forces Press Service

WASHINGTON, April 26, 2007 – Through interrogations of key detainees in the past month, the United States has learned a great deal about Iranian involvement in terrorist activities in Iraq, specifically the financing and training of insurgent groups, the commander of U.S. forces in Iraq said here today.
The interrogation of leaders and members of the Qazali terror network who have been in detention for more than a month revealed that Iran provided the network substantial funding, training on Iranian soil, advanced explosive munitions and technologies as well as arms and ammunition, and in some cases advice and even a degree of direction, Army Gen. David H. Petraeus, commander of Multinational Force Iraq, said in a Pentagon news conference.

When these terrorists were captured, coalition forces discovered a number of documents describing attacks on U.S. forces, including a 22-page memorandum that detailed the planning, preparation, approval process and conduct of the Jan. 20 attack on the Provincial Joint Coordination Center in Karbala, Iraq, that killed five U.S. soldiers, Petraeus said.

“Our sense is that these records were kept so that they could be handed in to whoever it is that is financing them,” he said. “And there's no question, again, that Iranian financing is taking place through the Quds force of the Iranian Republican Guards Corps.”

The U.S. has learned more about Iranian involvement in Iraq through the detention of one of the heads of the Sheibani network, which brings explosively formed projectiles into Iraq from Iran, Petraeus said. This leader’s brother was in Iraq, and was the conduit who received munitions from Iraq and distributed them among the extremist elements.

“Those munitions, as you know, have been particularly lethal against some of our armored vehicles and responsible for some of the casualties, the more tragic casualties, in attacks on our vehicles,” Petraeus said.

The coalition has not found a link between Iran and the spectacular car bomb attacks in Iraq, Petraeus said, as many of these attacks are conducted by foreign fighters coming into the country through Syria. Also, the U.S. has no evidence that indicates how high in the Iranian government the knowledge of this involvement goes, he said.

Petraeus called Iran’s activities “exceedingly unhelpful” as Iraqi leaders and security forces battle al Qaeda, extremist militias, sectarian violence, and limited political capacity to rebuild society. The situation in Iraq is exceedingly complex and challenging, he said, and while there have been successes under the new security plan, perseverance will be needed for the coming months.

“Success will take continued commitment, perseverance and sacrifice, all to make possible an opportunity for the all-important Iraqi political actions that are the key to long-term solutions to Iraq's many problems,” Petraeus said. “Because we are operating in new areas and challenging elements in those areas, this effort may get harder before it gets easier.”

In the wake of this, we get the following: Iran to Attend Regional Talks on Iraq Violence

BAGHDAD, April 29 — The government of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of Iran announced Sunday that it would attend a regional conference on Iraq later this week, setting the stage for the first cabinet-level meeting between Iran and the United States since the end of 2004.

Go to Complete Coverage » The American envoy to the meeting, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, said that she would not rule out the possibility of conferring directly with Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki, but that she did not foresee any discussions on one of the most divisive issues between the nations, Iran’s nuclear program.

In a series of television interviews on Sunday, she emphasized that the conference in Egypt was intended to focus on what Iraq’s neighbors and “interested parties” could do to help quell the relentless violence in Iraq.

“This is not a meeting about the United States and Iran,” she said on the ABC News program “This Week.” “This is a meeting about Iraq and about what Iraq’s neighbors and interested parties can do to help stabilize the situation in Iraq.”

She then ticked off a list of actions Washington would seek from Tehran in what was effectively a repetition of the accusations that have helped sour relations, including stirring sectarian violence in Iraq and providing Shiite militias with sophisticated weaponry to use in roadside bombs, known as improvised explosive devices.

“Stop the flow of arms to foreign fighters,” she said. “Stop the flow of foreign fighters across the borders. Stop using advanced I.E.D. technology to kill American soldiers. Stop stirring up trouble among militias that then go and kill innocent Iraqis.”

Come, now, Madam Secretary. The only thing that will stop these atrocities by these 7th Century barbarians is a few well-placed JDAMs and tactical nukes.

Oh, wait, we don't have the latter thanks to pantywaists like John Kerry.

Perhaps this is the strategy, though: A last gasp diplomatic effort, for PR purposes, followed by real action in the form of strategic air strikes.

Civilization should be so lucky.

Reid Does it Again!

Harry Reid Says War in Iraq Is 'Lost'

WASHINGTON Apr 19, 2007 (AP)— Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said Thursday the war in Iraq is "lost," triggering an angry backlash by Republicans, who said the top Democrat had turned his back on the troops.

The bleak assessment the most pointed yet from Reid came as the House voted 215-199 to uphold legislation ordering troops out of Iraq next year.

Reid said he told President Bush on Wednesday he thought the war could not be won through military force, although he said the U.S. could still pursue political, economic and diplomatic means to bring peace to Iraq.

"I believe myself that the secretary of state, secretary of defense and you have to make your own decisions as to what the president knows (know) this war is lost and the surge is not accomplishing anything as indicated by the extreme violence in Iraq yesterday," said Reid, D-Nev.

Republicans pounced on the comment as evidence, they said, that Democrats do not support the troops.

"I can't begin to imagine how our troops in the field, who are risking their lives every day, are going to react when they get back to base and hear that the Democrat leader of the United States Senate has declared the war is lost," said Senate GOP leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky.

The typically classless Reid has outdone himself this time!

In safe houses in Iraq, Afghanistan, Iran and Syria Reid's words fuel hope.

We wonder how they resonate amongst the brave troops fighting for Civilization against the forces of Evil.

Un-freaking-real.

School bans pigs stories

A West Yorkshire head teacher has banned books containing stories about pigs from the classroom in case they offend Muslim children.
The literature has been removed from classes for under-sevens at Park Road Junior Infant and Nursery School in Batley.

Head Barbara Harris said the books would remain in the school library for children to read.

Sixty per cent of the school's pupils are of Pakistani or Indian origin and 99% of these pupils are Muslims.

School library

Mrs Harris said in a statement: "Recently I have been aware of an occasion where young Muslim children in class were read stories about pigs.

"We try to be sensitive to the fact that for Muslims talk of pigs is offensive."

The head teacher sent a memo to staff saying fiction books containing stories about pigs should be removed from early years and key stage one classrooms.

Mrs Harris added: "The books remain in the school library and there is nothing to stop our younger children having stories such as 'The Three Little Pigs' in small groups."

You can't make this stuff up.

We wonder if "Heather Has Two Mommies" has been similarly banned.

And the slow death of England carries on apace.

You quislings are starting to get on our nerves

Captured crew in TV 'confession' as Iranians turn up the tension

What will it take to convince some of you that the real enemy is not GWB?

Perhaps Ahmadinejhad or Al-zawahiri will soon bungle a couple words or mangle a sentence and that will be enough to convince you quislings as to who the true bad guys are. After all, isn't that sort of thing the true mark of one who must be exterminated?

Political discourse in America, dominated as it is by such brain dead dopes as Bill Maher, Rosie O'Donnell and Keith Olbermann, has reached its nadir.

While you flakes continue to harbor enmity over the 2000 presidential election -- wherein the mad man Al Gore fell victim to the functional illiteracy of his core constituency (victims of public education) -- the true enemies of liberal democracy continue to gather strength, due in great part to your traitorous behaviour in war time.

Even as the "surge" shows early signs of succeeding, the new Congress, led by the shrewish Grandma Pelosi and the pixilated old fool Harry Reid, has undercut the efforts of our brave troops

Thankfully Joseph Lieberman, who survived the onslaught of the Internet kiddies to retain his Senate seat, understands what is at stake.

Good for him. Every political party needs at least one adult.

Has it ever occured to you kids that the reason total victory in Iraq has not yet been achieved might have something to do with the enemy's -- well, to most of us they are the enemy -- ability to play you like a Stradivarius? Or is defeat your ultimate aim?

Seems to us, it is.

Amazingly, amusingly and appallingly, you folks consider yourselves part of the "reality-based" community.

You embrace the failed doctrine of socialism and exhibit the naivete of five-year olds in a sandbox vis-a-vis the existence of Evil -- granted, your atheism feeds this inanity -- and you have the temerity to mock those of us who see the world as it is, however troubling we might find it?

Grown ups understand that the world is a scary place, that Paradise is not for this life, that Evil exists and must be defeated.

Yeah, you heard right. There is Good and there is Evil.

Children -- even 30+ year old children -- find this troubling and tend to push it to the background in favor of some sort of "Puff the Magic Dragon/If Only America Didn't Exist/Global Warming Is the Greatest Threat to Humanity" construct.

Yeah.

We're the idiots.

If the Republic survives it will be despite its weak as water Disloyal Opposition.

Do we question your patriotism?

Damn right.

Western Civilization needs stout-hearted advocates now as much as ever, not self-hating pussies.
